“A few weeks before the showing of the Autumn-Winter 2002 collection, I received a letter with some drawings from a ten-year-old boy. It turns out that he had seen the Dior show on TV. He did not want to go to sleep and stayed up until two in the morning drawing the clothes. His mother was first exasperated but then moved by his enthusiasm and she sent us the drawings. The drawings were so lovely I was very touched. I invited the boy to the Dior show and met him afterwards.”
